3 Rules for Creating a Business Card Website

A 1–5 page business card website works when it follows three rules: one clear job with short copy, trust built on real facts, and a simple path to an enquiry. We build one in up to 10 working days.
In short
- Rule 1: one job — explain what you do, for whom and where.
- Rule 2: trust — real photos, experience, documents, reviews, address.
- Rule 3: path to enquiry — call button, messengers, a short form, a Google listing.
- It suits solo professionals, small businesses and companies with a narrow service list.
- Timing: one-pager up to 3, small site up to 10 working days after brief and materials.
Rule 1. One job and short copy
Visitors decide within seconds whether to stay. The first screen answers three questions: what you do, for whom and in which city. Then list your services with 2–3 sentences each. Remove anything that does not help the decision: a long company history, vague talk about quality, extra animation.
A typical 3–5 page structure:
- Home with a short description and a call to action.
- Services as a list or short separate pages.
- About — experience, training, team.
- Work or reviews.
- Contacts with a map, phone and messengers.
Rule 2. Trust through facts
A business card site is often the first thing people see after a referral or an ad. They check that you are real. What helps:
- your own photos of the office, team and work, with no stock images of smiling people;
- years in business, training, licences and certificates if you have them;
- reviews with names or a link to your Google reviews;
- company details, address and opening hours;
- consistent branding: logo, colours, fonts.
Rule 3. A path to enquiry and Google visibility
A "Call" or "Message" button is visible on every phone screen. The form has two fields: name and phone or messenger. Enquiries reach you in Telegram and by email, so none get lost. To make the site findable, each service gets its own heading and description, and we set up Google Search Console, LocalBusiness markup and a Google Business Profile. GA4 and Google Tag Manager events show how many people called and wrote.
Who is a business card website for?
Solo professionals such as lawyers, notaries, psychologists, tradespeople and photographers. Small businesses with a narrow service list. Companies that need a page for partners and banks. If you offer many services and want search traffic for each, a corporate site is the better fit.
Business card site or landing page?
A landing page is one page for one service and paid ads, with a strong call to action. A business card site presents the whole company and more often comes up in searches for your name and services. If you are running ads for one service, start with a landing page; if you need a trust point for every channel, start with a business card site.
How long does it take to build?
From our experience a one-page site takes up to 3 working days and a 3–5 page site up to 10 working days. Timing starts once the brief is agreed and we have your logo, photos, service list and texts or answers to the brief.
What platform do we use?
WordPress or MODX, so you can edit texts and photos yourself. For a one-pager used with ads, a static Next.js build also works. Hosting, domain, SSL and basic SEO are part of the launch.
Common mistakes
- No phone or messengers on the first screen.
- One big image with text in it, so Google cannot see what you do.
- Stock phrases like "individual approach" and "high quality" where facts should be.
- Nobody checked the site on a phone, though most visitors arrive on one.
A project from our portfolio
For the notary office of Anna Gribova in Kyiv we built a site describing notary services, with contacts for clients comparing notaries in the city.

FAQ
How much does a business card website cost?
It depends on page count, design, copy, language versions and integrations. We give an estimate after a short brief.
How long does it take?
A one-pager takes up to 3 working days, a 3–5 page site up to 10 working days after the brief and materials.
Can a business card website rank in Google?
Yes. Service pages, a Google Business Profile and LocalBusiness markup help. First noticeable results take about 3 months.
Can it grow into a corporate site later?
Yes, if it is built on a CMS: we add sections, a blog and new services without redesigning.
What should I prepare?
Logo, photos, service list, contacts and answers to the brief. We can write the copy ourselves.
