A website usability audit finds where visitors get stuck on the way to a request or purchase: we check navigation, forms, mobile layout, speed and trust elements, and back each finding with GA4 and Microsoft Clarity data.

In short
- Useful when traffic comes but requests and sales stay low.
- We combine an expert review with real behaviour data: GA4 funnels, Clarity recordings and heatmaps.
- Each problem comes with a screenshot, the reason it matters and a concrete fix.
- Fixes are ranked by impact and effort, so developers start with what changes conversion most.
- We can implement the fixes and test the result after the audit.
What we check
- Key user paths. From ad or search landing to request, call or checkout, step by step.
- First screen. Whether a visitor understands the offer, the price logic and the next step within seconds.
- Forms and checkout. Number of fields, error messages, spam protection, confirmation.
- Mobile view. Tap targets, readability, sticky buttons, pop-ups and cookie banners covering content.
- Speed. Core Web Vitals on real devices, heavy images and scripts.
- Trust. Contacts, company details, reviews, case studies, warranty terms and policies.
- Navigation and search. Menu logic, filters, internal search, breadcrumbs.
- Analytics. Whether GA4 events and goals record what the business needs.
Where the data comes from
An expert opinion alone is easy to argue with. We connect Microsoft Clarity, which is free, to record sessions and build heatmaps, and read GA4 funnels to see on which step visitors leave. For stores we look at the cart and checkout drop-off; for service sites, at form starts versus submissions. Findings are backed by these numbers and screenshots.
How the usability audit goes
- Goals and analytics. Key actions, GA4 and Clarity access.
- Data collection. Sessions, heatmaps and funnels.
- Expert review. Paths, forms, mobile view, speed.
- Report. Problems, screenshots and fixes.
- Fixes and retest. Changes and comparison of results.
How long does a usability audit take?
In our experience the audit report is usually ready within 5 to 10 working days, depending on the number of page types and user paths. If Clarity is not yet installed, we first collect one to two weeks of sessions.
Implementing the fixes is scheduled separately after the report, often in two rounds: quick fixes first, larger layout changes next.
What affects the cost
We quote after looking at the site. The price depends on:
- number of page types and user paths;
- online store or service site;
- number of languages and devices to test;
- whether we also implement the fixes.
What we need from you
- Access to GA4, Google Tag Manager and the CMS.
- The main goals of the site: requests, calls, orders.
- Feedback from sales on what clients ask most.
- Consent to install Microsoft Clarity if it is not there yet.
What you get and how we measure it
You receive a report and a way to check the effect:
- a list of problems with screenshots and recordings;
- fixes ranked by impact and effort;
- conversion rate of key actions before and after changes in GA4;
- form start versus submission rates.
Why an outside audit
Teams that built the site stop seeing its problems:
- a form that fails silently on some phones;
- a cookie banner covering the call button;
- pages that load slowly on mobile data;
- redesigns chosen by taste, with no data behind them.
Working with a Kyiv team remotely
We work remotely with companies in the UK, the EU and North America: video calls, email, Telegram or WhatsApp, and shared documents for plans and reports. Kyiv is on UTC+2 (UTC+3 in summer), so our working day covers most of the UK and EU business day and the morning on the US East Coast. You get one project manager who is responsible for the timeline.
Why clients trust us
- More than 10 years in digital. Marketing MIX has been building websites and running marketing for over a decade, with the portfolio to show for it.
- Clients outside Ukraine. Our portfolio includes projects for KidSup and Cookiddoo in Canada and MBSoy, an architectural studio in Finland.
- One team for the whole chain. Strategy, website, SEO, ads and analytics sit with one team, so nothing gets lost between contractors.
- A registered, verifiable company. Our DUNS number is 68-606-2061 and our NCAGE code is A3G3J; both can be checked in the Dun & Bradstreet and NATO NCAGE databases.
- A real office in Kyiv. The studio is at 77 Velyka Vasylkivska St., Kyiv, and works remotely with clients in Ukraine and abroad.
FAQ
What is a website usability audit?
An expert check of how easily visitors reach a request or purchase, backed by GA4 and Microsoft Clarity data, with a report of problems and fixes.
When do I need a usability audit?
When the site gets traffic but few requests or sales, before a redesign, or after a new site launch.
How long does it take?
In our experience 5 to 10 working days for the report, plus one to two weeks of data collection if Clarity is not installed.
Do you fix the problems too?
Yes. Our developers implement the fixes and we compare conversion before and after in GA4.
Is a usability audit the same as an SEO audit?
They overlap on speed and structure. A usability audit focuses on visitor behaviour and conversion; an SEO audit focuses on search visibility.
Can you audit a site in English for UK or US visitors?
Yes. We review English-language sites remotely, test them on the devices and browsers your audience uses, and write the report in English.
What do we need to prepare?
Access to GA4 and the CMS, a list of the actions that count as a lead, and an hour for a kick-off call. Everything else we collect ourselves.
