Ilove Dnipro: news website for an NGO
For the Dnipro NGO "Zminymo maibutnie" we built the Ilove Dnipro news website: a design with Dnipro cityscapes, a city video on the home page, an e-mail news subscription and SEO for every post.

Client and brief
The NGO "Zminymo maibutnie" (Let's Change the Future) runs events that help children in Dnipro. The Ilove Dnipro site covers its work and city news.
The organization needed a news site with a simple, attractive design in the style of Dnipro, easy to publish to and able to collect subscribers.
What we did
- Briefing and a review of news and city websites.
- Prototype and design with Dnipro cityscapes, a city video behind the home page.
- HTML5/CSS3 markup, MODX CMS setup, content.
- An e-mail capture block and a news mailing to subscribers.
- Keyword research and SEO for every news post.
- A Facebook page for the organization.
Result
The project card records 0 visits before launch and 425 after. Development director Olena Dovhan singled out the home page video and the e-mail capture block; the review is further down this page.

We needed a news website for a public project with a simple and attractive design. Marketing MIX accomplished this task on favorable terms. We really liked the video on the homepage and the well-implemented email collection block.
- Set a video of Dnipro as the background.
- Created an email collection block and set up automated newsletter distribution.
- Compiled a semantic core and optimized each news article for maximum relevance.
- Created social media groups on Facebook, as well as VK and Google+ (Google+ closed in 2019; VK has been banned in Ukraine since 2017).
