Which requirements apply to public-sector websites?

In Ukraine, public bodies publish information under the Law "On Access to Public Information", and Ukrainian is the main language of the site. Public bodies usually buy website development through Prozorro, so the technical specification is prepared before the tender; we can help write it. Information systems that process restricted state information need a comprehensive information protection system (KSZI) with state expert review, which is a separate project for a licensed contractor.

How long does it take to build a government website?

In our experience, a government website is usually ready in up to 10 working days after the brief is approved and we have your materials: texts, photos, logo and access to the domain. That covers structure, design, development, content upload, basic on-page SEO and analytics. Portals with personal accounts, e-services or exchange with state registers are estimated after the brief.

The timeline depends on how fast you approve the prototype and design, whether the texts are ready or we write them, and the number of languages. Larger projects with integrations, personal accounts or data exchange with other systems get a timeline after the brief, once the scope is fixed. Search traffic comes later: with SEO, first noticeable results usually take about 3 months.
